Building Biologist

Find a Building Biologist

Are you constantly tired with no apparent cause? Do you suffer from asthma, allergies or experience recurrent colds and flu that take forever to go away? Are you chemically or electrically sensitive or suffer from an autoimmune disorder?

You should consider getting a qualified building biologist to assess your house or workplace. For Building biologists and Mould Testing Technicians who have completed nationally accredited training through the VET (vocational education training) sector in Australia, go to the Australian Society of Building Biologists (www.asbb.org.au). Note, there are self titled ‘building biologists’ in Australia who have completed a short correspondence course through the US who have not undertaken extensive training and therefore are ineligible to be affiliated with the ASBB.

Can’t afford a consultation? The Australian College of Environmental Studies which teaches the only nationally accredited Mould Testing course in Australia, requires homes for their students to assess. This involves having up to 12 students in your home for a day which is supervised by an experienced building biologist trainer. There are no costs involved and ACES will cover the laboratory costs (up to $2000). The most professional student report will be emailed to the client approximately 10 weeks after the assessment. The home must be located within a 40 minute drive from the CBD or airport of the following cities: Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Adelaide, to be considered.  Prospective client must agree to the CONDITIONS outlined HERE.
