The Advanced Diploma of Building Biology (10913NAT) consists of eight online subjects (start anytime) and three subjects requiring live zoom sessions and field training.
MOULD TESTING TECHNICIAN COURSE

Investment: $1,995
This is a 12 week course. To complete the subject, you will be required to participate in live zoom sessions for 8 evenings before you are eligible to undertake the field training (compulsory). Students may only miss up to one Zoom session.

OPTION 2: Restorers, hygienists or mould remediators with extensive experience in mould remediation who have their own equipment and appropriate insurances, may choose to conduct an assessment of a water-damaged home of their choice. The testing must take sufficient samples (ideally test every room in the home, subfloor and roof) to conduct a thorough assessment of a water-damaged home and you will be liable to pay out of pocket laboratory costs. If insufficient samples do not allow the trainer to adequately assess your knowledge and skills from the information provided in your report, you will need to undertake the assessment again. You will need to provide the client’s contact details to verify you conducted the assessment. |
ELECTROBIOLOGY TESTING TECHNICIAN COURSE
Prerequisite: must have completed Electricity Fundamentals subject (available online).
Investment: $1,995
This is a 12 week course. To complete the subject, you will be required to participate in 3 days of live zoom sessions before you are eligible to attend the two days of field training. The zoom sessions and field trip are compulsory.

SAMPLING METHODS SUBJECT
Prerequisite: must have completed the Air Pollution subject.
Investment: $1,995
To complete the subject, you will be required to participate in live zoom sessions over 5 evenings. Students may only miss up to one zoom session. You will then hire the equipment from ACES to conduct lead and chemical sampling of a home of your choice. Students will be required to pay the cost to return the kit to ACES, and provide a refundable deposit of $400 (refer to Terms and Conditions). No on-campus training required.
