Designing a Healthy Home Career Opportunities
With the increase in childhood allergies, breast cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple chemical sensitivity and electrical hypersensitivity, there is a growing demand for designers to build healthier homes.
Green and sustainable does not necessarily mean healthy – in fact more often than not the use of energy-efficient materials like compact fluorescent light bulbs, PVC and airtight homes, will increase the occupant’s exposure to known hazards. This course is ideal for property developers, builders, architects, building designers and draft persons who wish to design and build healthy homes and for those who wish to build their own homes.
